Governors

Welcome to the Governors' section!

School Governors are a group of people made up of elected parents and staff along with other individuals invited from the local community and local education authority. Their main role is to work in partnership with the headteacher to oversee the strategic development of the school with a common goal to provide a high standard of education for all pupils, whatever their ability or needs.

GovernorNet Website

As part of the Government's strategy for e-government, school governors were identified by the Department as a key customer group that warrant their own website. GovernorNet was launched on 31st March 2003 and much positive feedback has been received to date.
